I can’t believe that 5 months ago today Jim and I became parents for the 2nd time and Evelyn meet her new baby brother. Today he is loving any attention from anyone that is willing to give it to him. He is a very good natured baby and loves to laugh and smile. He just started to roar like a lion, it’s just way too cute!!

On a different note you have 26 days, counting today to finish up your Christmas shopping … are you done yet. Or better yet have you started? I just finished today!! Now I just have to worry about wraping everything that I got now!! Any volunteers to help out? Just kidding.

I am doing something right.

Hello all,
Some thing this morning happened that made me realize that I must be doing something right as a Mom. I was getting the kids in the car to go Jim’s Mom and Dad’s house while I’m at work and Evey made a comment about the clouds and how beautiful they look … her exact words. I followed with do you know who made the clouds in the sky? “Yes I do, Jesus made them” That made my morning that I thought was tough just a bit better, the sun seemed to shine just a bit more then.

Good news Bad news

Well, let’s start off with the bad news first and get that one over and done with.

Well, for all of those that know Jim, know that he had his 2nd attempt with the welding test for school this past Wednesday night. Well thank you for your prayers, but he didn’t pass this time. We are hoping that the third time is a charm for him. He did start off very well he said. He did make one little mistake but it was something so small that if that was the only thing wrong they would have passed him. But that one little mistake took it’s toll on him mentally and he went down hill after that. He as able to get pointers from his instructor after class, and now he feels like he will be able to pass it for sure next time, which will be some time between Turkey Day and Christmas.

So, here for the good news. For what ever reason why I didn’t tell you this all before God above only knows, but this past Sunday (11/12) was Uncle Henry’s first Sunday back to church since all of hospital visits and head operation about a month ago. He looked totally awesome!! He is doing very well for himself, still slow going though. Thank you for all of you that have been praying for him and all of us during that time of pins and needles. It is always nice to see someone doing so well and know that it has something to do with the prayers that you sent to heaven for him. We all love you Uncle Henry!!

Well, that is all for now I have to pick up Evey from class.

Chow for now!

life and death thoughts

I was on the way to my folks house last night and started to think how funny life works with matters of life and death … why I don’t really know why I was thinking this, I guess with the 1 year anniversary of Pastor Ken’s death right around the corner I started to think. I was thinking of all the things that were happening in my life one year ago this month mainly with the upcoming week(s), and what I was doing. I was starting morning sickness with our son Andrew. I thought it was strange how one life was coming to an end while still another was starting. Actually AJ was one of 3 that boys starting their lives during that time. Of course I think that AJ is the best of all 3, but then again I’m the Mom so I will side with him.

Then 2 years ago from 11/10 my Grandpa Bruce when to heaven to be with wonderful wife and Jesus … it’s times like this when I miss them so!! But I know that is just the way life works. It’s a comfort to me to know that I WILL see them all again … someday!

For all of those that visit this blog this week, please keep Jim in your prayers mainly for Wednesday. See for his schooling he has to pass a welding test in order to graduate in September. He goes in for another swing at it 11/15. This will be his 2nd attempt and he is getting nervous about it, which means in turn that I’m getting nervous. As soon as he passes this test in our minds eyes he is graduated even though he still has 4 more weeks of schooling to go through. I will keep you all posted as to what happens. Thank you in advance for the prayers!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Not what they say but how they say it.

Yesterday evening about 8 ish or so, Evey asked me if she could have a glass of juice, I said yes and to meet me in the kitchen and I would get her that glass of juice for her. By the time that I got to the kitchen she is sitting on the floor Indian style getting what I thought of a close up look at the floor. She is bent over to where her little nose is just about an inch or two from the floor and she said to me that there is dirt on the floor. I looked down at what she is looking at and sure enough there is dirt on the floor from Jim’s dirty work boots from earlier in the day. What tickled me so about this is that she for whatever reason felt that she had to get that close to the floor to see this spot of dirt that wasn’t really that small I could see it from just standing over the spot where the dirt lies. So like I said it’s not always what they say it’s how they say it too. So have a good day and don’t forget to smile and laugh a bit to day!

HELP ... I need your advice!

I was wondering if I should or not. I had called in to get free Chicago Blackhawk tickets again, I called 3 times and each time left a voice message at the correct phone number that I was directed to call. In all 3 messages I asked to call me back either way to let me know if I get the tickets or not. My thinking on that is to get sitters lined up for the kids. Then this past Saturday in the mail we got a surprise, we got the two free tickets. Everything worked out alright as far as getting a sitter to take the kids over night but I was wondering if I should send them a complaint about this or not, since everything worked out. I’m debating on it due to the fact that they were free and I don’t want to push my luck and not be able to get more in the mail from this company. What to you think?

PS … Don’t forget to vote!!

3 years ago tonight at about 11:00 pm Evelyn desided to start coming. It was the night of Ralph & Arlene Brooker's birthday bash thing that church hosted for them. Jim's Aunt Phyllis was there and told me that I was not to be pregnant the next time that we see each other ... well, Evey listened to her. I checked in the hospitol at about 11 pm and she arrived at 9:31 am on a Monday morning. She is my little love bug and I love her bunches & bunches & bunches. If you read this Evelyn I just wanted to let you know that I love you bunches & bunches & bunches and I can't wait to spend the day with you tomorrow my little love bug!!
